13 Days of Madagascar & Seychelles Exploration

Day 1 Arrival in Antananarivo


Arrive at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, where your guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel. After checking in, you will have some time to relax and adjust to the time zone. If you arrive early in the day, consider taking a leisurely evening stroll around the capital. Explore vibrant local markets, such as Analakely Market, or enjoy a visit to the nearby Independence Avenue, which is lined with colonial-era buildings.

Day 2 Antananarivo to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park


After breakfast, embark on a scenic four-hour drive to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, situated on the island's eastern side. During the journey, take in the breathtaking views of Madagascar's lush landscapes, with opportunities to spot rice fields, traditional Malagasy villages, and dense forests. Upon arrival in Andasibe, check into your lodge. You can relax in the tranquil surroundings in the afternoon or take a short walk near the lodge to familiarize yourself with the area.

Day 3 Andasibe-Mantadia National Park


The day begins early with a guided walk through the dense rainforest of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, where you will have the opportunity to spot the world-famous Indri lemur, the largest lemur species. Along the way, you may also encounter other wildlife, such as the common brown lemur, various species of chameleons, and a vibrant array of birds, including the Madagascar blue pigeon. In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax or explore additional trails within the park.

Day 4 Maromizaha Reserve and Andasibe-Mantadia National Park


Today, you will visit the Maromizaha Reserve, a hidden gem near Andasibe. This lesser-known reserve provides a quieter and more intimate experience with Madagascar's wildlife, including the rare bamboo lemur. Walking through the pristine rainforest, you will encounter endemic flora and fauna, such as orchids, chameleons and various birds. In the afternoon, return to Andasibe for another guided walk to continue exploring the region's rich biodiversity.

Day 5 Adasibe to Antananarivo


After breakfast, drive back to Antananarivo. Once you arrive, you will have the afternoon free to explore at your leisure. You can visit the vibrant local markets, such as Digue Market, where you can buy traditional Malagasy crafts and souvenirs. Alternatively, consider touring the Royal Palace and the nearby Rova of Antananarivo. These sites offer insight into the history and culture of Madagascar's monarchy.

Day 6 Antananarivo to Kirindy Forest


Today, you will take a flight to Morondava, which is located on the western coast of Madagascar. Upon your arrival, you will embark on a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of western Madagascar to Kirindy Forest. The reserve is famous for its unique wildlife, including the elusive fossa, a predator that is found only in Madagascar, as well as several species of lemurs, including the nocturnal mouse lemur. After checking into your lodge, you will head out for an afternoon visit to the reserve, where you will explore its rich diversity of flora and fauna.

Day 7 Kirindy to Morondava


Start your day with a morning visit to the Kirindy Forest, where you can spot some of its famous wildlife, including Coquerel's sifaka lemur and various endemic bird species. In the afternoon, return to Morondava to relax and enjoy one of Madagascar's most iconic landscapes—the Avenue of the Baobabs. This stunning avenue, lined with ancient baobab trees, is particularly breathtaking at sunset when the golden light casts long shadows across the landscape.

Day 8 Flight to Antananarivo and Flight to Seychelles


After breakfast, you will fly back to Antananarivo, where you will have a short layover before continuing your journey to the Seychelles. Upon arriving in the Seychelles, you will be transferred to your hotel. The evening will be yours to enjoy at your leisure. You can stroll along the beach or indulge in a delicious Seychellois dinner at your resort.

Day 9-12 Seychelles Islands


Spend the next four days enjoying the natural beauty of the Seychelles. Renowned for its pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich biodiversity, the Seychelles offer a wide range of activities for both nature lovers and adventure seekers. You can go snorkeling in the warm waters to explore the vibrant marine life of the coral reefs or hike through the lush tropical forests of the islands.


Take time to explore Praslin Island, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Vallée de Mai, and Curieuse Island, famous for its giant tortoises. Optional excursions include boat trips to nearby islands or snorkeling with the iconic tortoises.

Day 13 Seychelles Airport


After a leisurely breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for your flight home, ending your unforgettable journey through Madagascar and the Seychelles.
