Day 1 Arriving in Cape Town

Upon arrival to Cape Town, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Then drive to your beautiful accommodation in the centre of the city to settle in.

This afternoon you may wish to explore Green Market Square, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, or you can hike to the top of Lion’s Head. In the evening, you can enjoy a meal at one of the many fantastic restaurants along Cape Town’s vibrant Kloof Street.

Day 2-3 At Leisure in Cape Town

Optional activities in your stay could be having a half day city tour which includes a trip up the famous Table Mountain. Or visit the Cape Peninsula exploring highlights such as boulders beach penguins then the next day you have a full day guided tour in the winelands.

Say hello to the famous African penguins at Boulders Bay in Simon’s Town, visit community projects, craft markets, restaurants and “shebeens” during a tour of Langa township.

The visit of Cape Point which is located at the tip of the Cape Peninsula, 60km south-west of Cape Town. Here you can admire the breathtaking ocean and mountain scenery, walk the shipwreck trail and learn about the maritime history of Cape Point, spot cape mountain zebra in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to see the old lighthouse.

Day 4 Transfer to the Winelands

Leave the city behind as you are driven into the beautiful winelands. Your destination is the stunning Babylonstoren where you have two nights to relax and explore not only the vineyards grounds but also the surrounding wine estates at your leisure.

Day 5 At leisure in the Winelands

You have the whole day to relax and explore at your leisure.

There are some activities included from the hotel such as;a private guided garden visit and farm walk, cycling and canoing/rowing on the farm dam, fishing, a harvest tour, break baking, cellar tours, wine tasting, olive oil and balsamic vinegar tour, a treasure hunt for the younger guests, fish feeding and an essential oil tour. All available for your stay, or venture further afield and catch the wine tram or a taxi into the historic town of Franschhoek.

Day 6 Fly to your safari destination

Today, you are transferred back to Cape Town airport to catch your direct flights to Skukuza. Here you are met and taken to your lodge which will be your home for the next three nights.

Notten's Bush Camp is a brilliant property situated in the famous Sabi Sands Private Reserve which is particularly famous for leopard encounters.

Day 7-8 On safari in Sabi

Today, you’ll head out on an early morning game drive with an expert guide and tracker. You’ll have a picnic breakfast in the bush, before returning to your camp where you can relax by the pool before lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll have another game drive in this incredible reserve.

You’ll have a chance to spot elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, white and black rhino, hippo, cheetah, crocodile, hyenas, wild dog, zebras, giraffe, and several species of buck.

Day 9 Sabi to Vilanculos

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight first to Johannesburg where you are met a whisked through by fast track to your connecting flight to Vilanculos. On arrival you are met and driven into town and your gorgeous boutique hotel.

Bahia Mar is a haven which is nestled on a plateau above the dazzling coastal lagoons of south-central Mozambique, this ocean-facing boutique property combines relaxation and wellbeing with an idyllic setting. Here, you're surrounded by lush indigenous gardens dotted with palms and acacia trees and can enjoy views over the turquoise waters of the Mozambique Channel. Just 68 steps away, you can access the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and soft sand beaches, as well as more active pursuits such as kitesurfing, snorkelling and scuba diving.

Day 10-13 Relax on the Beach

Spend the next few days by completely relaxing or you can enjoy excursions such as a boat trip to nearby islands where you may be lucky enough to spot dolphins, whale sharks and endangered dugongs. You can also have a tuk tuk tour along the coast, a sailing trip on a traditional dhow or you can visit local villages and fishermen’s markets.

Additionally, you can relax and sip cocktails by the infinity pool or sunbathe on the stunning palm fringed beaches of Vilanculos. Or you may prefer to participate in adventure activities such as snorkeling, diving, wake boarding, kite surfing, windsurfing, fat biking, horse riding and canoeing on the Govuro River.

Day 14 International Inbound Flight

Enjoy your last morning at the beautiful Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel. Following your hearty breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Vilanculos Airport for a flight home.

You will complete your spectacular Best of South Africa and Mozambique tour and arrive home the following day.
