Then, you'll discover amazing wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After that, you'll hike into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to find majestic mountain gorillas a truly humbling moment you won't forget.

Your trip ends with the scenic beauty of Lake Bunyonyi.

5 Days Primate and Wildlife Safari

Day 1 Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Today, you will drive south to the jungle of Kibale, best known as the primate capital of the world with about 13 species of primates. You will have lunch along the way. You can choose to relax at the lodge or take a guided walk in the community after the long drive.

Accommodation: Turaco Treetops Lodge

Day 2 Morning Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You'll have a heavy breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by one of the park staff. Following the briefing, you will be assigned a guide who will lead you into the forest to begin your chimpanzee trekking experience. Kibale is renowned for its population of chimpanzees, and this trek offers a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.

After a day of trekking, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll check in at your accommodation and have lunch. Afterwards, you will head to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat safari. The Kazinga Channel is a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George, which are both renowned for their rich diversity. During the boat safari, you can expect to see hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, and numerous bird species, including African fish eagles and kingfishers. Proceed with an late afternoon game drive before you go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Isasha Sector

The chance of spotting these lions stands at about 60-70%, but sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them up in the tree, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you'll proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This journey is so interesting as you get to enjoy the scenic view of the highlands of the great Kigezi region. You'll arrive in the evening and then check into your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4 Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers a dramatic, steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The time with these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing overnight stay.
